New treatment in ureteral stenosis

MD Anderson Cancer Center Madrid Urology Service has successfully performed a novel endourological treatment for patients with ureteral stenosis.

The treatment involves implanting a ureteral stent (Memokath®) from Pnn Medical using an endoscopic approach, which is placed over the areas affected by the stenosis. This procedure is minimally invasive and is performed in just a few minutes, allowing the patient not only a rapid recovery and a short hospital stay, but to also avoid the problems and symptoms derived from the usual implantation of Double J ureteral catheters.

Thus, MD Anderson Madrid Urology Service and its endourology section continue to implement and develop new techniques and procedures to resolve urinary pathologies.
