Early diagnosis of colon cancer greatly increases the rate of survival. For that reason, MD Anderson Cancer Center Madrid, in collaboration of the Ministry of the Presidency, has organized the educational talk ‘Prevention of colon cancer’ to promote prevention of this type of cancer among Ministry employees.

At the event, Dr Sara Encinas, of the Medical Oncology Service at MD Anderson Cancer Center Madrid, explained the importance of screening as recommended according to age, such as a colonoscopy for the over 50, or even sooner in the case there are risk factors like a genetic predisposition or family history, and consulting a specialist if there are any possible symptoms.
