With the aim of achieving the maximum benefit for the oncological patient, both at the therapeutic level and at the healthcare level, MD Anderson Madrid begins the year by promoting its Unit of Genitourinary Tumors. This unit, led by the head of the Medical Oncology Service at MD Anderson Madrid, Dr. Enrique Grande, has the participation of professionals from the areas of urology, medical oncology, radiotherapy, pathology, radiology, nuclear medicine and clinical trials and allows the maximum coordination of all these professionals involved in the treatment of patients with genitourinary tumors.

This reinforcement includes the expansion of the clinical research program in this type of tumor, which includes bladder cancer, prostate cancer and kidney cancer. In addition, the increase in the number of clinical trials in these pathologies offered by the center will result in greater access to novel treatments for many patients.

With the reinforcement of the unit, MD Anderson Madrid confirms its commitment to placing the patient at the center of the treatment process and further endorses the multidisciplinary nature that already characterizes the health care offered by this hospital center.
