Every year over 200,000 new cases of cancer are detected in Spain. Thanks to early detection and to medical and research advances, the survival rate for the disease has doubled in the last decade.

Due to the great importance of making people aware of cancer prevention and its early detection, in collaboration with ING Direct, MD Anderson Cancer Center Madrid has organized an informative conference for the company’s employees.

During the meeting, Dr Raul Marquez, a cancer specialist at MD Anderson Cancer Center Madrid, explained to the more than 65 attendees the importance of healthy habits and of having regular check-ups that might detect gynecologic, colon or prostate cancers early on; in addition to not putting off a visit to a specialist if any strange symptoms are noticed to achieve greater survival rates if the disease should appear.
