Computerized axial tomography. It is a painless X-ray examination that generates detailed cross-sectional images of the body. Instead of obtaining a single image, like an X-ray, multiple images are obtained since it rotates over the entire body.
It may require injecting or drinking a contrast medium.

The patient is usually required not be eat or drink 4-6 hours before.
