Carlota was runner-up in Spain in 400m hurdles and was preparing to become champion when she was diagnosed with breast cancer at a very young age. After chemotherapy, surgery and radiotherapy she had to reinvent herself - today she is a triathlete and has achieved one of her dreams - to be a mother.

She and Dr. Garcia Estevez share a very special bond. Together they have been through very hard times. They have not seen each other for months, although they talk often. Today Carlota is going to introduce the doctor to someone.

The healthcare and professional support of the nursing team is key to treatment and recovery from cancer treatments. Patients like Estrella, diagnosed with pseudomyxoma peritonei, was referred to palliative care in other hospitals. Their lives crossed paths in 2007 when she arrived at MD Anderson Madrid and underwent surgery. She had a relapse in 2009 and she was treated again and since then, she has been disease free.

Her effort, perseverance and the best care available have made it possible to get this far and prepare this surprise for them.

Magaly was diagnosed with peritoneal carcinomatosis in Chile, her native country, five years ago where no treatment was available for her. She traveled to Madrid to put herself in the hands of Dr. Santiago Gonzalez's team. After a complex surgery and chemotherapy, she is now disease-free.

Maria, diagnosed with endometrial cancer in 2013. After a complex operation and six chemotherapy sessions, she began her radiotherapy treatment and met Dr. Carballo. She provided unconditional support for Maria. Today Maria has something she wants to say to her.
